Bath seeking donations of nappies

The Nationals Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Melina Bath has thrown her support behind ‘The Nappy Collective’ project.

Ms Bath has again committed her electoral office in Traralgon up as a local collection point for The Nappy Collective.

There are 400 official drop points in 64 towns and cities across Australia.  Since the project commenced in 2013 over 2,000,000 nappies have been donated to the cause.

The Nappy Collective initiative runs twice a year in May and October.

Ms Bath said The Nappy Collection takes donations of unused, leftover disposable nappies and donated boxes of new nappies.

“The nappies are then redistributed to organisations that support families in crisis or in need by The Nappy Collective,” said Ms Bath.

Ms Bath said she nominates her electoral office twice a year as The Nappy Collective is a worthwhile cause that supports families in need in our community.

“Being located on Franklin Street, Traralgon, my electoral office is central and easily accessible for constituents to drop off donated nappies,” said Ms Bath.

Nappy donations are being accepted until the end of May 2019.
