The Nationals Member for Eastern Victoria Region Melina Bath is encouraging Gippsland organisations supporting the health and wellbeing and education of children and youth to consider applying for a Pierce Armstrong Foundation grant.
The Pierce Armstrong Foundation seeks to positively impact and enhance the lives of Australians, supporting organisations making meaningful and lasting contributions to our community.
The Foundation has a strong preference for Victorian agencies as grantees. Grants donations up to $20,000 are provided and do not specify a minimum or maximum within the funding amount.
Ms Bath said Gippsland has many fabulous organisations and not for profit agencies that support and contribute to the health and wellbeing and education of local children that would really benefit from the extra funding.
“A Pierce Armstrong Foundation Grant would make a significant difference to a local organisation and their participants by funding innovative programming and enhancing the lives of young Gippslanders,” said Ms Bath.
“We know that healthy students are more alert, engaged and better able to concentrate and learn, which ultimately creates improved academic and social outcomes.
Ms Bath said community groups are often unaware of available grant opportunities.
“It is important we continue to promote funding openings to advocate and enhance the lives of people within our Gippsland community.”
Applications for the Pierce Armstrong Foundation grants open on 1 August 2019 and close on 15 September 2019.
To apply organisations must hold both deductible gift recipient (DGR) and tax concession charity (TCC) status TCC status with the Australian Tax Office.
The full grant guidelines can be found online at https://piercearmstrong.org.au/. Successful applicants will be notified during December 2019.
